DSD schools are institutions authorized to issue the German Language Diploma (Deutsches Sprachdiplom - DSD). These schools are authorized and supervised by the Conference of Ministers of Education and Cultural Affairs of Germany (KMK) and the Central Agency for Schools Abroad (ZfA) affiliated with the German Federal Foreign Office.

DSD schools are part of PASCH – Schulen: Partner der Zukunft (Schools: Partners for the Future), a global education initiative of the German Federal Foreign Office. There are 1,100 privileged DSD schools worldwide.

Anka Bilim College is the only private educational institution in Ankara with privileged DSD School status.

DSD schools implement the DSD German language curriculum approved and supervised by ZfA. This program is a language education system that is centrally managed, measurable, and continuously monitored in all DSD schools.

Deutsches Sprachdiplom (DSD) is an official German Language Diploma with lifelong validity that certifies academic proficiency in the German language. This diploma carries the approval of the Conference of Ministers of Education and Cultural Affairs (KMK) in Germany and is only awarded in schools authorized by the Central Agency for Schools Abroad (ZfA) of the German Federal Foreign Office.

The DSD Program is a joint effort of the central government and states in Germany, and all content and regulations are managed by the DSD Central Board.

Once successfully obtained, there is no obligation to retake the exam. Our students can use their DSD diplomas throughout their lives in academic and professional applications.

At Anka Bilim College, DSD exams are administered within the framework of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR):
• DSD I (B1): For 9th and 10th grade students
• DSD II (B2-C1): For 11th and 12th grade students

DSD exams can only be administered in DSD schools officially authorized by ZfA (Zentralstelle für das Auslandsschulwesen), affiliated with the German Federal Foreign Office, to issue diplomas.

Individual applications cannot be made to DSD exams from outside; the DSD diploma is only given to the students of authorized schools.

At Anka Bilim College, exams are administered once a year, free of charge to our students, according to the central exam schedule from Germany.

Each exam measures four basic language skills: reading, listening, writing, and speaking. Written and oral sections are scored according to German exam evaluation criteria and checked with a double evaluation system to ensure transparency and international standards.

Anka Bilim College's German curriculum and language education, like all authorized DSD schools, is approved and regularly supervised by the Central Agency for Schools Abroad (ZfA) of the German Federal Foreign Office.

The DSD preparation process is structured to build German language skills step by step. Students prepare for exams with practice tests, project presentations, and goal-oriented studies at each level.

In addition, the IB (International Baccalaureate) program implemented at our school supports our students' academic German proficiency and interdisciplinary perspectives. Individual application counseling for universities in Germany, Switzerland, and Austria is also provided by our DSD coordination and guidance unit.

Yes, it is possible. Anka Bilim Schule, both as an officially authorized DSD School and as a candidate school for the IB (International Baccalaureate) Diploma Program, offers unique opportunities to its students for higher education outside Turkey.

Students at our school who have both DSD and IB diplomas gain the right to direct placement at distinguished universities in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and many European countries without taking the YKS exam, which is mandatory for entry to higher education institutions in Turkey.
